Miss Prim Turns Four

I love watching this girl grow. But every birthday I want to time travel and visit with her at every age and stage since I first held her as a tiny baby in my arms. The petite and inquisitive little baby, the one year old who melted hearts, the two year old who made us laugh, the three year old who turned into a little lady. She has been so lovely and such a joy at every stage and I'm so grateful those memories of her are mine to hold in my heart and she is mine to hold in my arms always.

You can't even dream up just how or who they will become. This past year and has been one of huge change for Primrose. Sometimes she still isn't sure what country she is in, but she is so resilient and one of her main strengths is that she makes true friends where ever she goes. In Canada she started preschool again and even though she was only there for a few months she made a best friend in Molly. A few weeks into being in Bungendore she made a new friend at preschool Millie and then two of her favourites from music class Audrey and Isabelle. She is such a good friend. She is so much fun and dreams up lots of games and adventure to have with them. She is quite the leader but very concerned for the happiness of others. And really, if she could she would have friends with her every day and always.

Primrose is lots of fun, she is almost always smiling and easy going, except when jumpers, unwanted clothing choices and shoes and socks are involved. She loves dresses, dressing up, painting nails, dreaming up new hairstyles with mum, playing in the bath, kicking a soccer ball, going to dancing and gymnastics, riding Porridge, her (our neighbours) pony, doing her home preschool with mum, painting and quiet time to play with her toys and have them all set off on adventures. She has gotten very good at puzzles and has started to tap away on the piano which makes me think lessons may not be too far away. Her reading is coming along beautifully and she has started to draw and write her own name so well.

She had a lovely birthday day. It happened that it was preschool day, so we had a yummy breakfast together and then she opened one present before we left which was a set of ponies from her favourite show Spirit. She absolutely loved them. We took in some cupcakes for her to share with her friends at preschool, which everyone was excited about and she wore a special badge stating that she was the birthday girl so all of her friends would know. That afternoon we eagerly awaited daddy's arrival to open the rest of her presents. Daddy came in with a beautiful bunch of flowers and Primrose was over the moon. We sat down for presents and she opened her special unicorn party dress for her party on Saturday as well as a cd player with some audio books for her to listen to. We ended the night with cupcakes and happy birthday and tucked in a very tired but blissfully happy little 4 year old.

She is my Girl. My Prim, Rose, Rosieroo, Miss Muffet, Cheeky Monkey. Every day I tell her, 'you are kind, you are smart, you are lovely, you are important'. She means the world to our family and we are so blessed to have her joy, her spirit and her love in our home. Happy Birthday my Girl.
