It's nice to know that you can still keep some traditions alive even while in covid-19 lock down with all the world going crazy around you! It is strange times ... we had hoped to have Tate and Hanna with us but border closures prevented that, but we still had a lovely Easter all the same.
The kids woke to eggs galore and french toast for breakfast. This was Quill's first Easter walking so he set off with great excitement at the new game of finding eggs and chocolate! Our Quill is always up for fun and throws himself into everything. I had made a few Easter bonnets for the younger kids and tshirts for them all this year so they looked very cute as they searched the garden for eggs. We didn't get to see all the cousins in their gear together but the QLD cousins got theirs in the mail and maybe soon we can have a good visit together. We love a beautiful meal at Easter, we had salad, rolls and lamb for dinner which makes it feel just like Easter should and I opted to make a small carrot cake, seeing as we had no guests, which was delicious as always.
I feel grateful that we have each other right now. Life doesn't feel too different for us in lock down. The kids have each other and I'm content at home with baby arriving just around the corner. And even though this Easter didn't look quite as we had hoped, there's always fun to be found around here.
