With our two bigs up in QLD having the time of their lives with the Ryan's, we wanted to do something special with the little two for the holidays and a snow day fit the bill. The Hunter Valley Gardens set up a special winter wonderland with ice skating, tobogganing and snow play. We came prepared with hats, jackets and gloves and even a carrot and buttons to make a real snowman.
Its pretty rare for the Quill and Lily to have Mum and Dad to themselves and we all loved having a bit of special time together. We started with the ice skating, which became a seal train with daddy powering. We had a nice wander through the storybook garden and then some fun on the rides. Quill and Levi braved the high swings - Quill loved it, Levi thinks his days on spinning rides are over. Lily and Quill had a carousel ride and Lily got her pick of the pink pony. We all went on the Ferris wheel together and got to see right across the gardens from high up on top. Next up was the toboggan which we all flew down and then on to the snow play! It was Lily's dream to make a snowman and lay in the snow and make a snow angel and both came true. Quill helped make the snowman and got to experience the fun of snow in your boots!
It was a lovely day together and nice to give the little two a small taste of the fun of snow.
