Our Miss Prim is five and never has a girl been so excited for this day to arrive. I tell her all the time that I just want her to stat my little Prim but she There's something about being five, not quite a little kid anymore and being a big kid feels well with in reach. We couldn't be prouder of the five year old Primrose.
Primrose woke up to presents and pancakes, banners and balloons and the big smile did not leave her face. Her big present from Mum and Dad was the American Girl Doll Willa and an outfit and boots to match. Willa looks just like Primrose and we have been reading books about her and have watched the show they have made too. Courtney gave her the Water Horse from Frozen 2 and Grandma and Grandpa gave her a Frozen Lego jewelry box which she had a wonderful time making. Lots of dreams came true. Hanna and Tate gave her some money to pick her own present and Shannon and Mireille gave her some money to have a special treat out. We spent some time the next Saturday at kmart where she picked a giant horse who she named Isla and then had her dream treat, a raspberry slushie. She was one happy girl with her gifts and she was in no doubt of everyone's love for her.
Luckily Primrose's birthday fell on a preschool day. She wore her new special Willa outfit, I did her hair just the like the doll and added some glitter hairspray. She took in cupcakes and celebrated with all of her friends. That night we had dinner and cake and then our newly aged five year old was tucked into bed, worn out and so so happy from her big day.
Primrose is just as lovely and kind as the day she was born. She is such a wonderful little sister, she plays along with whatever Finley dreams up for them to play. She gets right into Pokemon and Bakugan, planes and cars. She is very adaptable and happy when people are happy. She gets to rule the roost when it's just her and Quill and then there is lots of being cats, playing in boxes, dressing Quill up in necklaces and high heels. As much as she loves to play with others she is very content in her own company. I find her alone deep in playing make believe with her horses and dolls, singing and whistling to herself and dreaming all sorts of things up. Primrose absolutely loves crafts, painting, colouring and cooking. She loves preschool and her two closest friends are Eden and Clara and she is the sweetest friend. She is a mummy's girl for sure. We have special kisses together every night - it goes 'true loves kiss, french kisses, butterfly kisses, bunny kisses, mermaid kisses, unicorn kisses and a big cuddle'. She loves to have me all to herself and do her favourite things together. Dad is a close second, especially every night when he reads her stories and when they play.
Primrose dreams of a little sister and if her dream comes true, that little girl is going to have one of the dearest and loveliest sister ever. Not long to wait now.
