This has been an exciting year for Primrose, full of fun and friends and big changes. We have seen her really put herself out there to give things a go and she has made great strides in so many areas. She remains a true bright light in our family. She is the most level, calm, kind and considerate one of all of us and she really teaches me every day to be patient and look to the good in everything. Her energy is always attracting wonderful people her way. She had a wonderful group of friends in Bungendore and in no time at all she has found her people in her new school.
Primrose completed Year 2 this year and had the most fantastic teacher, Miss Taylor who she flourished under. She started chapter books and now has the reading bug big time, her writing is beautiful and she was given a Principals award for a story she wrote about an emu. She also performed as the Big Bad Wolf in her class performance at assembly and she was part of the dance ensemble for the District Arts Festival. She was selected for the third year in a row to be the student council representative and she did so well in everything she put her hand to this year at school. Then in term 4 she bravely entered her new school, St Patrick's and found her feet in no time.
It was a busy year in Bungendore with horse riding, Joey's, soccer and swimming. Primrose earnt her Joey Scout Challenge Award, completing an adventurous journey with Levi, Kayaking on Lake Burley Griffin. It turned out to be a big adventure as the wind was high but she did it. She played well this year in soccer and made some good strides with her swimming, she can do 25m in backstroke and freestyle now and won a medal and a trophy at swim club for her efforts. She also gave some scary things a go like dirt biking for the first time and running in the cross country where she did really well. We are so proud of her for working hard at things and always trying her best.
She also had some lovely moments this year like getting baptised, with family coming specially to celebrate her. She had a special trip to Sydney to see her friend Eden, stay in a hotel for the first time in her memory, and saw the musical Beauty and the Beast. We had a fun time in Bowral saying goodbye to Courtney before she moved to QLD and seeing the Candy Land exhibit at the Grounds. We got up early and saw the hot air balloons in Canberra and her and Finley won a huge squish mellow doing a big scavenger hunt in town.
It's been a big and wonderful year for Primrose. She is such a beautiful person and it is a privilege to watch her grow. She has taken to country life so well, she loves all the animals and going on adventures. Thanks for being you, we love you our First Rose, you are a treasure.
