Little Quill, you squishy. smoodgy little man. You are a champion little baby. Such a happy boy, full of fun and life and adventure. Things move so fast with babies. This year he has gone from our little babe in arms to a full on little toddler. He crawls rapidly, eats endlessly, loves sleep and sleeps so well, gives the best hugs and kisses, is patient and fun and so funny.
We have loved watching Quill's little personality emerge this year. He loves animals. At our Mecca Lane house we had dogs and cats often visit us and he has such an affection for them. He loves the outdoors. He could literally spend a whole hour wandering our yard, playing with sticks, licking rocks, smelling and eating flowers. Nature is a wonder to him and he is most definitely at his happiest outside exploring. He truly makes fun out of simple things. When we were moving his favourite game was to crawl in and out of boxes and any vacuum or broom becomes his favourite toy as he mimics me sweeping the floor. Cords are also a great joy to him!
Quill loves his brother and sister so much. He has gotten to the age where he can play and he chases on all fours behind them to keep up. He loves to destroy anything they build and given the chance to roll around will body slam them, it's very funny to watch. Finley and Primrose are both very sweet to him, going in to his cot in the morning and playing games with him and giving him lots of love and attention. We all adore him and he basks in the love.
Our little man loves food and eats as much as the other two. He is by far our messiest eater, he loves throwing food on the ground and we are desperately waiting for this phase to end! His favourites are rice, yogurt, blueberries and strawberries but really he will eat pretty much anything he is given and go back for more. We think he is going to be very tall and broad, already he is fast approaching Primrose in size. He has gone through quite a few haircuts this year, those baby curls were lopped off and as soon as we went short you could really see the little boy he was on his way to being.
We are excited for what the next year holds for him. He begins preschool one day a week while I go back to work until the baby is born. He will have a new little brother or sister soon enough, we will see how he goes with that. Walking isn't far away and then we are going to have a hard time keeping up with this little adventurer.
