Miss Prim { 2019 }

Our beautiful girl Primrose. She is a true source of light and love in our family and we are very lucky to have her. Her little personality has emerged even stronger this year. Her 'loves' are strong, she is passionate, loves having friends and finding fun in whatever she does.

Primrose spent a year at the Tarago Preschool, which she loved and made the second best friend of her life Millie (the last one was Molly!). She progressed lots this year with writing her name beautifully, recognising all of her letters and sounds and reading basic books. We weren't sure at the beginning of the year if she would be able to attend preschool so we started our own at home, her favourite part of which was the Calendar Board where she learnt all about the months and seasons and and had fun looking out the window to determine the weather (mostly sunny). Next year she will attend Bungendore Preschool three days a week, which is much closer (thank goodness) and an absolutely beautiful place. Lots of the girls she has met in town will be attending, so we are looking forward to a great year ahead, once of lots of fun and play before she heads to big school the following year.

I always enjoyed the days we had together. We had a nice little routine, heading to dance lessons at the beginning of the year where her favourite was tap class and gymnastics right through the year which culminated in an wonderful little performance at the end of year concert. We loved our Thursday where we went to a little music class in town and then over to the op shop to play with friends and have morning tea, more often than not we would lave with a 50 cent pony. These were my favourite days as well and I'll continue these on with Quill next year while Prim is at preschool. She also did swimming lessons in the last term and improved in leaps and bounds and started horse riding lessons with Finley which she absolutely loves. In between we went for walks and scooter rides, read books, played dolls, saw sights in Canberra and around town and just had fun together. Quill was her constant companion when she was home and they are great little play mates. She is a wonderful sister, including him and helping him. He just adores her just like the rest of us.

Primrose loves life. She loves making friends and will befriend anyone her age in a matter of seconds. She is very creative and loves thinking up games, colouring inn, modelling with playdoh and doing art and crafts. She loves horses, unicorns, Elsa, books, dolls, having a nice clean room, dresses, bags and singing. She rarely gets cranky but when she does she has a beautiful little process where you can see the cogs turning in her mind and arriving at a decision to move on and be happy. She is growing her hair to be as long as Elsa, she can do awesome handstands and cartwheels, she loves having her nails done and Dolly is still her nighttime companion and greatest comfort.

Next year will be a big one with a new sibling on the way and three days a week at preschool. She is keen to start up dance again and will continue with swimming and getting better on her new bike to have a try without training wheels. What a star. Our beautiful girl, we love you xx
