Blessed

Like so many things this year, Lily's blessing was postponed until we could attend church and have our family with us to share in our little girl's special day. She was such a little angel, all dressed in white in a vintage dress I wore as a baby and the same one that Primrose wore on her blessing day too. Mum, Dad and Courtney were able to attend. Dad participated in the blessing along with Levi, Bishop Heselhurst, Levin Flake and Michael Tomsik. The men were laughing after that she was kicking her legs and wiggling about, being that much older than a new born baby. It's been a strange year but it feels nice to be able to be back living life as we like.

Being blessed is a simple and precious moment and the beginning of what we hope will be a journey of faith and comfort in the knowledge of the gospel for Lily. She is such a sweet little soul. So happy and in wonder and awe at all that is around her. She's just right at the start of her journey and she is completely surrounded by love. We all absolutely adore her and will be with her every step of the way through her life. What a gift she is to us. Dreams do come true.

Our Dear Heavenly Father,

We approach thee with gratitude in our hearts for this beautiful child which we have received from thee, and as brethren holding the Melkizedek priesthood we present this child for a name and a blessing, and the name by which she shall be known is Lily Josephine Catton.

Lily your family love and adore you, we bless you that you will be a source of joy and happiness to your brothers and sisters and your parents, and an example of love and affection

We bless you with health and happiness as you grow through childhood and youth, that you will enjoy life and its beauties.

We bless you with kindness and perception to be able to understand people's needs so that you can help them.

Lily you've been born into a family who love the Lord and his gospel, and will endeavour to teach you the gospel in your childhood. We bless you with love for and understanding of the gospel, and that you will be able to share what you believe freely with others. There will be many who will thank you for the opportunity to learn from you the things you believe and understand.

Lily we bless you with all these things and all else that your Heavenly Father has in store for you which cannot be seen at this time, and we seal these blessings on you in the name of Jesus Christ, amen.
