Baby Lily { 2020 }

Little Lily, what a gift you are to are family. The first half of the year you were content and growing and we all waited expectantly for your arrival. And before we knew it you were here with us, the final little piece to our family. You have been the absolute best thing about 2020 - a challenging year made so made easier because we had you.

I'm not sure if it's just you, all fourth babies or experience but Lily has been an easy breezy, gorgeous little thing from the start. Even those challenging newborn days were lovely just soaking her in and letting the rest of the world just fade away. The whole family absolutely adores her and we love watching her grow. The past seven months have flown by and as best as we try to capture and remember every little piece of these baby days she is growing up before our eyes. The days of sleepy, coo's and caa's have turned to determination for action - to move, roll, crawl, she's right on the cusp of just taking off. She loves food and wants all of it and to be a part of anything that is happening. When you pick her up from a nap she kicks and squirms in excitement for life to get moving. She has the most gorgeous huge grin and the funniest lip sucking facials and loves to give slobbery wide open mouth kisses.

Each of the kids have a sweet little bond with her. Quill is very protective and Lily longing looks at him as a playmate and thing to aspire too. Primrose is the big sister of dreams and already carts Lily around with her to play with ponies in her room or hide in makeshift cubbies. Finley cuddles and plays with her and gushes over her as much as we do..

I love my girl. There's nothing like holding her and having her cuddle in close. You feel yourself relax and breath a little easier. She is pure heaven. This next year will mean our last little babe will slowly transition into a toddler and her baby days will be behind her. I hope my memory manages and that I'll be able to conjure up that sweet little Lily girl always.
